As the only trade organization in China’s ceramic industry, China Ceramic Industrial Association, established with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs P.R.C., is made up of enterprises and institutions engaged in ceramic production, scientific research, design, education, internal and external trade, etc. Founded in September 1989, China Ceramic Industrial Association has a membership of 600, totaling 400,000 working staff. It is in charge of the administration and management in the ceramic industry under the leadership of China National Council of Light Industry. The Association acts as a bridge between its members and the state departments to promote the development of the ceramic industry of the country.China Ceramic Industrial Association has set up five service institutions, namely, Personnel Training Center, Economic And Technical Information Center, Energysaving Technique Center, Ceramic Artistic Design Center, and Consulting Service Center, and six specialized committees, namely, Artistic Ceramics Committee, Construction And Sanitary Ceramics Committee, Raw Materials And Auxiliaries Committee, Decoration Materials Committee, Industrial Ceramics Committee, and Ceramic Machinery Committee.
Actively involving itself in various international activities in ceramics, China Ceramic Industrial Association has devoted itself to the furtherance of ceramic technology, technical exchanges, and international trade, and to the enhancement of the relationship and cooperation in this filed between China and the rest of the world to promote the development of ceramic industry.
